Number of COVID-19 cases decrease by 15% in the UAE

The UAE Health Ministry during its Tuesday’s press briefing said that the country’s confirmed coronavirus cases have gone down in the past few days.

 

The Health Ministry said medical personnel carried out 805,579 tests nationwide from Oct.28 to Nov.3, the number of tests increased by 3% compared to last week and confirmed cases decreased to 15% for the same period.

 

The ministry said this week's mortality rate is 0.4%, the lowest globally compared to the EU of 2.6% and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at 2.4% and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development countries (OECD) at 3.0%.

 

On the other hand, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention announced that on Tuesday, it has conducted 96,994 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours.

 

The health ministry reported 1,008 new cases of coronavirus in the country. The ministry also plans to expand the scope of testing to detect new cases.

 

The health officials said 1,466 people have recovered from the disease. The health ministry also announced that 6 people have died due to COVID-19 complications.

 

The health ministry has expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the people receiving treatment.
