Sheikh Mohammed unfurls the UAE flag to mark Flag Day at Mohammed Bin Rashid University in Dubai on Tuesday.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has attended the Flag Day event at Mohammed Bin Rashid University in Dubai and dedicated the celebrations to the heroes at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.

 

Sheikh Mohammed took to Twitter and said, “Our flag rises, our pride rises ... our flags flutter, and with it our glories flutter... We stand tall, expressing the glory and pride of our people... our flags fly in the sky ... and with it the souls of our martyrs...”

 

“The citizens and residents of the UAE have set an example for solidarity and giving. They have demonstrated their love for this country and worked with a strong sense of team spirit to overcome challenges.

 

“The UAE Flag Day, this year is an opportunity to celebrate the solidarity displayed by society and the spirit of giving and cooperation that has helped the country mitigate the impact of the pandemic.

 

The Flag Day event at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences was attended by Director General of Watani Al Emarat Foundation Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi and representatives of various entities and departments at the forefront of combating COVID-19.
