Sheikh Mohammed urges all citizens, residents to mark Flag Day on Nov.3

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has urged all the citizens, residents and all the ministries to raise the UAE flag on Nov.3 to mark Flag Day

 

“Brothers and sisters, our country will celebrate Flag Day soon ... a symbol of our sovereignty, unity and eternal belonging to a state United Arab Emirates,” tweeted Sheikh Mohammed

 

“We call on our citizens, institutions and ministries to raise the UAE flag on Nov.3 at 11:00am simultaneously, to express the unity of our home and the unity of our destiny,” he concluded.

 

Every year since 2013, when the initiative was introduce by Sheikh Mohammed, the UAE marks Nov.3 as Flag Day to commemorate the accession of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
