Dewa expands horizon for UAE Vision 2021

Dewa chief visits Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute at Al Jalila Foundation.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) visited the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute at Al Jalila Foundation, which is one of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. Dr Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Member of the Board of Trustees of Al Jalila Foundation, welcomed Al Tayer.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer and Dr Raja Easa Al Gurg toured the institute. Al Tayer affirmed DEWA’s commitment to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to support scientific research and international efforts to find new treatments and effective vaccines. This consolidates Dubai and the UAE’s position at the forefront of medical innovation regionally.

“DEWA collaborates with different public and private organisations to achieve the UAE Vision 2021 which aims to invest in medical infrastructure and provide international experiences to meet the growing expectations of UAE nationals; and the Dubai Plan 2021 which seeks to make Dubai a home for educated, cultured and healthy individuals. DEWA adopts several initiatives, health, and social programmes for society happiness and a healthy life for everyone living on the UAE’s good land. DEWA contributes to the leading role of Dubai and the UAE regionally and internationally. We trust that the Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute will contribute to enhancing medial innovation and empower a new generation of qualified researchers in different biomedical areas as well as making quality achievements in pharmaceutical and therapeutic innovations,” said Al Tayer.
