Abdulrahman Bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, in line with the ministry’s plan that was announced last week. The process includes providing the COVID-19 vaccine for specific groups of the first line of defence in the UAE.

Al Owais said that by presenting this vaccine, we seek to provide all safety means for the heroes of the first line of defence and protect them from any dangers that they may face due to the nature of their work.

He stressed that it is fully and completely compatible with the regulations and laws that allow a faster review of licensing procedures, after positive results of clinical trials appeared.

It is noteworthy that the UAE has authorised the emergency use of the COVID-19 vaccine to make it available to the groups dealing with infected people from the first line of defense, with the aim of providing all safety and security means and protecting them from any dangers that they may face due to the nature of their work.
