The different types of masks and their uses.

Covering your mouth and nose with a mask when leaving home is a necessary precaution to protect your respiratory system from COVID-19 infection.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention shared some pictures on Twitter for a better understanding of the types of masks and their uses to protect from coronavirus.

The different kind of masks include the N95 masks, which are said to be the best according to experts, surgical masks, paper masks and cloth masks.

The N95-mask filters the air and stops containments particles from entering the mouth or nasal passage. It provides 95% protection.

The surgical masks is effective against the large particles droplets, but it doesn’t filter very small particles.

The paper masks covers both nose and mouth so it provides effective protection against non-toxic dust.

The cloth masks is used if the other disposable masks aren’t available, it is made of cotton cloths and should be washed after each use.
