Emirati woman survives road accident in Fujairah

An Emirati woman in her thirties sustained moderate injuries when a heavy-duty truck overturned and hit a vehicle she was in at Sakamkam Roundabout, Fujairah City, on Saturday.
According to Brigadier Dr Ali Rashid Bin Awash, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Fujairah Police, the accident took place at the end of Yabsa Bypass Road connecting Sheikh Maktoum Street and Fujairah Port Street on Saturday.
A heavy-duty truck heading to the Fujairah Port overturned and hit the Emirati woman’s vehicle, he said, adding that both the Emirati woman and the truck driver sustained moderate injuries and were admitted to Fujairah Hospital for medical treatment. Both drivers are in a stable condition, Dr Ali said.
