UAE denies introducing COVID-19 as a subject in schools

The UAE Ministry of Education on Thursday denied rumours circulating on social media platforms that it is going to introduce a new subject on COVID-19 in schools.

In a tweet the ministry said that no new course material was allocated on this topic, as some believe and is circulated in some news sites.

The Ministry, however, said  that schools are instructed to allocate 3 minutes of each lesson to educate children about the the virus and to make them aware of the precautions they all should take to protect themselves from the virus.

Ministry said this instruction is only for the two for a period of two weeks only.
