An Indian fisherman was injured in a fishing boat explosion in the port area of Shaam, about 30 km north of Ras Al-Khaimah.
The accident occurred at about 5:35 pm on Monday.
The fisherman was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Police and civil defense team members were at the site to control the blaze.
It is not clear what caused the huge explosion.
Authorities are investigating the site for further details.
