Dust blankets UAE, motorists warn to stay cautious

UAE has been experiencing fog and dust storm for several days.

 

Motorists have been warned to stay alert while driving.

 

The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, has called on drivers and pedestrians to take all necessary precautions when on roads due to poor visibility owing to fog and dust formation.

 

Mid afternoon visibility was reduced to 500 metres.

 

The NCM has instructed drivers to maintain a safe gap between vehicles and stressed the importance of monitoring weather forecasts and safety instructions on its smart platforms.

It has also appealed to exercise caution and adhere to the traffic instructions whether the motorists are driving on external or internal roads leading to those areas.
