Ajman Ruler tours Thumbay Medicity

Sheikh Humaid reviews the facilities that can serve over 20,000 patients daily.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, on Sunday, visited Thumbay Medicity, in the Emirate, and the newly opened Thumbay University Hospital, the latest academic hospital in the region. He was received by founder president of Thumbay Group Dr. Thumbay Moideen and vice-president of Thumbay Group Healthcare Division Akbar Moideen Thumbay.

Sheikh Humaid toured the hospital’s advanced facilities including the Cath Lab, the Long-Term Care unit and the Therapeutic Garden, and expressed happiness over the services offered. He appreciated Dr. Thumbay Moideen for building the state-of-the-art facilities at Thumbay Medicity, and lauded his efforts.

Explaining the Thumbay Medicity project to the Ruler of Ajman, Dr. Thumbay Moideen said that Thumbay Medicity is expected to emerge as a thriving hub for medical students, healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, medical tourists, with its innovative facilities.

“We are confident that the hospital and the Medicity will play a pivotal role in realising the ideals of the strategic vision of Ajman and the UAE, serving people within the country and the region and beyond. We are committed to making Thumbay Medicity the best destination for healthcare, medical education and research,” he said.

Thumbay University Hospital has established international collaborations with renowned global centres of excellence including Villa Beretta, Facility of the Valduce Hospital in Como – Italy; Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics – Kansas City, US; IMO – Spain; Gruppo Ospedaliero – San Donato, Italy; Hopitaux Universitaries – Paris Sud, France; Hopital Universitaire Mere Enfant – France; Hopital Paul Brousse – France; Institut Cochin – France; BK Plastic Surgery – Korea.
