The Ministry of Community Development launched the “Taaluf Live” service during the UAE Innovation Month of Feb 2020, a social sustainable development channel that provides family consultations for the first time through the ministry’s Instagram account (mocduae), including regular weekly episodes aimed at promoting communication and direct interaction with the members of the community.

The service is the fourth channel, added to the three other family consultation service channels: direct phone contact, email, and interviews with family counsellors at the social development centres all over the UAE.

The “Taaluf Live” service conveys the efforts of the Ministry of Community Development to deliver information to everyone smoothly and easily based on its vision, “A coherent Responsible Community Involved in Social Development”.

The first episode of “Taaluf Live” saw Dr. Amal Al-Otaibi in an episode entitled, “Women Different Balanced Roles, employee, mother, wife, sister”, broadcasted through the ministry’s Instagram account and hashtag, #Taaluf_Live, attracting some 4,000 people who interacted through direct enquiries and advice.

Hessa Tahlak, Assistant Under-Secretary of Social Development at the Ministry of Community Development, emphasised that the episodes of “Taaluf Live” will be broadcasted via YouTube, Podcasts and reposted on the ministry’s Instagram account in an effort to achieve maximum benefit.

She pointed out that during this month, a number of innovative initiatives will be launched across several emirates in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to disseminate a culture of innovation and turn it into a reality that would benefit human beings and the community.
