Now you can ‘Own’ Sharjah Police’s new WhatsApp service

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, announced the launch of a new WhatsApp Service, titled “Own,” at the Sharjah Police General Directorate on Tuesday. The WhatsApp number is 065633333.

The Sharjah Police General Directorate is the first UAE security authority to use WhatsApp to provide police services round the clock.

The new WhatsApp service, “Own,” is distinguished by an automated response that facilitates services to the public, and is available in three languages (Arabic, English, and Urdu). The new app also caters for the needs of the people of determination.

The launch of the new service was attended by Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, along with general managers and senior officers of Sharjah Police.

However, Maj. Gen. Al Shamsi, emphasised the keenness of Sharjah Police to continuously develop the police’s smart services, and facilitate communication with the public. The Sharjah Police have launched the new service to achieve the Ministry of Interior’s goal of nurturing a culture of innovation.
