The Abu Dhabi City Municipality is improving irrigation facilities.

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, during 2020 And 2021, is implementing a number of projects of irrigation tanks, improving irrigation facilities, equipping and rehabilitating pedestrian walkways, developing cosmetic plantations, installing recreational games, developing residential gardens, and improving open areas in residential areas within Abu Dhabi Island. According to the municipality, the total cost of the projects amounted to Dhs266,901195.

The municipality will complete in October 2020 the implementation of a project to provide irrigation tanks and make improvements to existing irrigation facilities and other related work within Abu Dhabi Island, at a cost of Dhs45,540,600.

Some projects are expected to be handed over during the third quarter of 2020 is a project to equip and rehabilitate the pedestrian walkways in separate places on the island of Abu Dhabi and the mainland at a cost of Dhs106,600,385.

The project includes the construction of a bicycle path on Shakhboot Bin Sultan Street, and between the Arabian Gulf and Sheikh Zayed Roads, besides new running tracks, in Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland. It also includes the installation of sports equipment, road facilities, the preparation of the necessary infrastructure works and rapid vending equipment in Rest areas and at intersections.

The municipality added that in January 2021, it will complete a project to rehabilitate and develop cosmetic crops on the side of roads in Abu Dhabi Island, at a cost of Dhs19,760,000.

“We are working hard to implement the project of equipping and installing recreational games and accessories for 28 locations, at a cost of Dhs45 millions,” Municipality added.

In December 2021 we will hand over a project developing 4 residential parks in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi Island, at a cost of Dhs16,196,395.
