Popular Emirati singer Shamma Hamdan will perform on the first day of Swyp Market Outside the Box (MOTB) on Thursday at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. The free-to-attend concert will take place from 8pm onwards and is expected to be a big crowd pleaser. Now in its seventh year, the signature market will welcome the singing sensation as it launches during the milestone 25th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

Shamma Hamdan achieved fame in 2012 when she became the first Emirati woman to ever make it to the finals of the hit reality show Arabs Got Talent. At Swyp MOTB, the young singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, will perform a refreshing, acoustic take on Khaleeji music and make it a night to remember with some of her key songs “El Hala Soubak”, “Moajaba” and “Nahno Hona”. In addition to the concert, Swyp MOTB will be packed with activities for families as part of this week’s citywide ‘DSF Ultimate Family Weekend’ to include a kids zone, which is free for kids on the first day, engaging performances of popular homegrown series ‘Shaabiyat Al Cartoon’, a Nike customization zone, launching for the first time ever, a gaming zone, and a whole host of food trucks and retail kiosks.

Swyp MOTB is the flagship market activation of DSF and will run until 1 February at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays, 4pm to 11:30pm on Thursdays and 11am to 11:30pm on weekends.
