UAE declares January 1 as official holiday

January 1, 2020, which falls on a Wednesday, has been declared as an official holiday by the UAE government.

According to the list of holidays mentioned by the UAE cabinet and the Dubai government’s most recent announcement, January 1, 2020 will be a holiday.

Work will resume on Thursday, 2 January 2020.

The official holiday, which has been announced for both public and private sectors, will be giving all employees a midweek break from work.

According to the list of holidays announced by the UAE cabinet for the year 2020, a number of other days have also been mentioned.
