An Asian in his twenties premeditatedly murdered his friend who attempted to practise lewd acts with him, and threatened to expose him if he did not obey him again.

The suspect admitted to the Dubai Public Prosecution he was a friend of the victim a while ago, adding that the victim practised lewd acts with him twice and asked him to repeat it a third time, threatening that if he refused, he would expose him and inform his family, so he decided to stop him.

The day before the incident, the victim called the suspect and asked to meet him. The suspect concealed a knife in his clothes, and when they met in one of the buildings, the victim pushed the suspect to the ground, so the latter stabbed him twice in the back and 12 times in the chest and neck, claiming his life.

The suspect then changed his clothes and fled to another emirate, in preparation for fleeing outside the country.

Recently, the traffic patrols at the Umm Al Quwain Police  caught the driver who hit a woman riding a bicycle and fled the scene. The driver was monitored and arrested within three hours from occurrence of the accident.

According to Col. Saeed Obaid Bin Aran, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department in Umm Al Quwain, the operations room was alerted about a European woman found lying injured on the ground after a car hit her while cycling on a public road, while her bike was completely damaged.

It was also reported that the driver fled the scene, he added.

“Instantly, the traffic patrols rushed to the location of the accident, where the woman was found suffering from wounds as result of the hit, while the driver who caused the accident was not in the place,” he added.

The crime scene team also attended to examine the scene, and also the national ambulance, where the paramedics provided woman who sustained medium injuries with the necessary treatment before transferring her to the hospital for further medical treatment.
