The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) has announced the launch of a mechanism for applying for permanent golden residency through a dedicated website for entrepreneurs and specialised talents to view the submitted applications and the procedures followed to grant a permanent golden residency.

Applicants should register their applications and submit their official documents through the website https://business.goldenvisa.ae to be familiar with the detailed projects before a permanent golden residency visa is issued.

The FAIC will complete the necessary procedures for issuing visas for entrepreneurs and specialised talents.

The electronic system makes it easy to submit applications and enables all concerned government entities to check the status of their applications and attachments to ensure they meet the required conditions.

“The official launch of the website for receiving golden residency applications from entrepreneurs and specialised talents is the starting point for more benefits and unprecedented features that will enable business owners to have wider prospects and broader options to run and develop their investments most efficiently,” Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, said.

These benefits and features will shorten many procedures and business owners with great facilities, not only at the personal and family levels, but at the professional level as well by simplifying procedures and providing all elements of success, he added.

The website was launched in implementation of the Cabinet’s decision to regulate the residency permits for investors, entrepreneurs and specialized talents. The decision stipulates permanent gold residency be granted to investors, entrepreneurs, specialized talents, researchers and talented students with promising scientific abilities.

According to the Cabinet’s decision, entrepreneurs are granted a 5-year visa and will be possibly eligible for permanent residency in case the conditions under the investor category are met.

The Cabinet approved the permanent golden residency for investors, entrepreneurs, specialised talents, researchers and outstanding students with the aim of making it easy to do business and creating an attractive investment environment that encourages the growth and success of business of investors, businessmen and talented people.

Last month the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai Chamber, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, GDRFA, and the Dubai Free Zone Council to launch the “Be Part of Dubai” initiative, which will see prominent businessmen receive UAE Golden Residency Visas.
