All residency services now in mobile application

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has provided a unified smart application “ICA UAE” that serves all segments of society, including UAE citizens, GCC nationals, residents and visitors to complete various transitions just by a screen touch.

Such a smart mobile-app provides a package of citizenship, residence and identity serves, with hassle-free procedures for users to complete their transactions. Once user signs-up, he/she will be able to proceeding with applying for the service needed through following the shown steps. There will be no need to visit a customer service centre to complete the transaction, only installing the application is required.

The application provides the ICA’s services such as issuing, renewing or replacing the Emirates ID for the user of for any of the family members, in addition to using the unified request to apply for or renew the residence and identity together with a single form.

It further allows renewing passports of UAE citizens and members of their families, applying for new Family Book, completing marriage transactions, adding births and other transactions. Moreover, the application allows citizens and residents of the country to apply for a visit or residence visa for their sponsored individuals, and to extend visa upon arrive for certain nationalities, in addition to paying fines of visa or residence in simple and easy steps.

New users can log in using the (UAE PASS) if previously registered, and in case of not registering before with the UAE digital ID, they can register as new users via the application. An e-mail address will be required to get the account activated and also the user’s Emirati ID number to complete the registration process.

The application displays user data in terms of name, nationality, expiry date of residency, entry and exit movements to and from the country, requests submitted, numbers of sponsored individuals and related establishments, residency requests, expired and active residencies and effective visas.

Furthermore, it allows obtaining HD photocopy of Emirates ID cards, passports, visas of all kinds and residencies, which are shareable via WhatsApp and others.

Recently, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), will launch a new project early next year, the first of its kind in the world, in cooperation with DUBZ powered by Dnata, which aims to complete travel procedures for violators of the entry and residence law in a modern and smart way and enables the department to build an ideal data reference for inmates.
