Manager forged work permits for six employees

An employee in Dubai forged work permits for six employees in the company he works, the court heard first session of the case on Monday.

According to the official records, the defendant abused his power as a company manager by applying for work permits for employees after forging the signature of the company owner.

The company owner said he received various complaints from employees who had not received their salaries for several months. Also a female employee told him that the defendant applied for a work permit for her on the sponsorship of a company he owned but did not receive her salaries.

The owner of the company decided to check with the authorities concerned for the contracts and the number of employees sponsored by his company. He found out that his signature had been forged in six work permits by a person working in the company.

The defendant confessed to the charges of forging and abusing official documents.

The court has ordered that he is remanded in custody.
