RTA restores metro services after technical glitch that affected five stations

The Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority has restored the metro services at Sharaf DG station which was hit with a technical glitch on Wednesday.

The RTA said on Twitter, “Please be informed that the technical malfunction has been resolved and the affected metro stations are operating normally. We thank all metro users for their cooperation.”

The RTA said in the morning, “Please be informed that the Dubai Metro services at Sharaf DG metro station are temporarily affected due to a technical error and work is underway to restore the service at the earliest. All other metro stations are operating normally.”

“Please be informed that there is a 30-minute temporary disruption of the Dubai Metro services in 5 stations: Noor Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Mall of the Emirates, Sharaf DG, and Dubai Internet City, due to a technical malfunction that the team is working on fixing.

Shuttle buses are available to transport passengers between the affected stations.”

Residents are advised to get in touch with authorities before embarking on their journey.

It is unclear what was cause the glitch. Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the disruption.
