A maid is facing charges at a court In Fujairah for  neglecting the children in her care, which led to them dying of suffocation.

According to reports, the maid was downstairs while the two children were in their room when the fire broke out.

The defendant denies the charges, says she wasn't responsible to take care of them when they were sleeping.

The case has been adjourned to next month.
