Staff of state schools to start duty on Sunday

Members of administrative, teaching and technical staffs of the state schools will start duty on Sunday (August 25). While students will begin the new school year (2019-2020) in all the public schools, as well as the private schools, kindergartens and adult education that follow the Ministry of Education’s curricula next week (September 1).

A number of school principals in Abu Dhabi confirmed to the Gulf Today that the maintenance work is nearing its final stages, while a number of private schools began trail tours for their buses in the city of Abu Dhabi. The school administrations also provided parents with bus schedules, in addition to drivers and supervisors’ mobile numbers.

The Ministry of Education called on members of the administrative, teaching and technical staffs to abide by the vision and strategy of education, and to be keen on adopting innovation and applying distinguished educational methods.

The Ministry stressed the need to provide an innovative environment in schools, adopting best practices that develop the spirit of participation and excellence among students, as well as inspiring and empowering them to become responsible and leaders.

The Ministry appealed to all teachers and heads of administrative and teaching bodies to adhere to work discipline and school attendance, as well as communicating with students and parents in all available ways, to achieve a serious start for the school year. It also urged to make use of the week before students back to school to warm up teachers through training programmes, form school committees and schedules, equip and prepare school environment to receive students, ensure the completion of textbooks distribution to students and availability of security and safety means in school transportation.

For their part, a number of principals of Abu Dhabi schools affirmed that all procedures and preparations to receive students on the first day of the new school year, pointing out that their schools are ready to receive the full faculty and administrative staff on Sunday.
