A man is on trial at the Abu Dhabi court for driving under the influence of drugs and assaulting a cop.
According to court documents the officers spotted him driving a vehicle that had no plate number.
When the police stopped him, he reversed and rammed his vehicle into the police patrol car.
He went ahead to beat up an officer when attempt was made to arrest him.
The defendant has been charged for driving a vehicle without number plate and being on the influence of drugs.
He was also charged for assaulting a cop.
All the charges has been denied by the defendant.
Due to lack of evidence, the defendant lawyers said there were contradictions in the statement from the witnesses.
The case has been adjourned to July 9.
