H.H. Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa BinZayed Al Nahyan to the Mauritanian leader, underlining UAE’s keenness to sustain relations between the two brotherly countries, and wishing the people of Mauritania further progress and prosperity.
Ould Ghazouani expressed thanks to Sheikh Mohamed for his brotherly feelings, wishing UAE continuing prosperity.
Mauritania’s ruling party candidate Mohamed Ould Ghazouani has won the presidential election with 52 per cent of the vote, the Mauritanian electoral commission announced on Sunday.

This latest achievement is as a result of the UAE President's directives to fast-track efforts to ensure that all necessary procedures to grant citizenship to eligible persons are completed, ensuring their inclusion in the UAE social fabric, the Authority concluded.
King Abdullah underlined the Kingdom's solidarity with the UAE in all the measures it is taking to ensure its security and stability, reaffirming that the security of the UAE and Gulf region at large is an integral part of Jordan's security.
