An American dad’s positive parenting tactics have gone viral, sparking a debate on how parents should be considerate towards their children when inculcating eating habits and manners.
Christopher Duett from Orlando recorded a video after a string of videos shared by other parents showing them reinforcing eating habits by beating the children’s stuffed toys.
Gulf Today spoke to Duett regarding the parenting video. He said he had shared the video on twitter and said, “Hey dumb ****ers using stuffed animals to exhibit positive reinforcement to get your kids to do something, watch this...”
He also said, “Also I’m getting a lot of attention and credit for this, though this should be the standard & not the exception. Truth be told, my wife and I are privileged to raise our kids together. Without my partnership with her, I wouldn’t be as good of a man I am now. Be good to your kids!”
Duett said, "I just wanted parents who were influenced by the other video to consider the approach that I used."
Duett is the Producer and co-host of the Criminal Perspective Podcast. He has two young boys.
