Cyclone Fani weakened to a depression as it barrelled into Bangladesh on Saturday after leaving a trail of deadly destruction in India, although a major human disaster looked to have been averted.
Cyclone Fani, the first summer cyclone to hit India's Bay of Bengal coast in 43 years, made landfall in Odisha state on May 3 packing winds up to 200 kilometres (125 miles) per hour.
The plane was coming in from Dubai and it overshot the runway as it landed. "Several passengers are injured," an Air India spokesman said.
The teams evacuated people from the tower. Some residents reported of suffocation. They were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
“The government of Pakistan is pleased to allow all international passenger operations to/from all airports as available pre-COVID-19. International scheduled flight operations to/from Pakistan will revert to authorisations as per summer-20 scheduling season."
