Clashes between regime forces and militants raged Monday on the edge of the region held by Syria's former Al Qaeda affiliate, following the deadly air raids overnight, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The Syrian regime and Russia have stepped up their deadly raids on the Idlib region since late April, despite an international deal intended to prevent a full-scale offensive on the area of some three million people.
"We had a very difficult two years. We didn't have foreign exchange and couldn't pay our debts. We have avoided a huge crisis because we didn't default (payments).
