President Khalifa pardons 3,005 prisoners ahead of Ramadan

The gesture is part of the President's attempt to provide prisoners an opportunity to start a new life.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the release of 3,005 prisoners - serving various sentences - and pledged to settle the financial obligations of the released prisoners, ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The gesture is part of President Sheikh Khalifa's attempt to provide prisoners an opportunity to start a new life and alleviate their families hardships.
