President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a cable of condolences to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt, expressing his sincere condolences over the victims of the terrorist attack, that took place on Tuesday, targeting a police patrol in the northern Sinai region that resulted in seven casualties and injuring many others.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar cables of condolences to the Egyptian President.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, commended the role played by Egypt in ensuring regional stability, noting that the current circumstances the region is passing through entail “cementing pan-Arab solidarity and cooperation to confront the besetting challenges.” The UAE’s top diplomat’s remarks came during his meeting on Sunday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who reaffirmed his country’s support for the UAE during the critical stage the region is experiencing.
In terms of international backing, Haftar enjoys the support of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and — now, clearly — the United States.
