SHARJAH: Following its success in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Media City (Shams) conducted the UAE Entertainment Experience’s audition in Dubai. Audition for the first of its kind film production project in the Arab world was held at the Roxy Cinema City Walk, Dubai.

Shams is developing the film industry infrastructure in all creative and technical areas of film production, through the UAE Entertainment Experience, its pioneering and first of its kind project in the Arab world. Shams is also creating a favourable environment for the media and encouraging creativity while enhancing the Emirate’s reputation in the media and creative fields by highlighting local content regionally and globally.

 Shihab Al Hammadi, Director of Sharjah Media City, emphasised the importance of beginning the second phase of the UAE Entertainment Experience’s audition following the success of the first phase in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. He clarified that anyone from 13-65 age group is eligible to participate in the audition, while children from 7-12 age group need parent/ guardian prior approval to apply for the audition.

 Director of Sharjah Media City added that the first phase of auditions in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi was a huge success with response from talents from different age groups who desired to be part of the UAE Entertainment Experience, which is an interactive, multi-platform production project based on engaging and attracting talents from all age groups and professional backgrounds.

 Registration for audition is open at the Entertainment Experience’s e-platform, which is an advanced platform to engage audience in film production process. Those who wish to participate in the UAE Entertainment Experience are required to submit a part of the first 10 minute length script which is published on the UAE Entertainment Experience’s website. They may, also, submit any script of his/ her choice for the audition process by the UAE Entertainment Experience team, which will be headed, during the audition phase, by veteran actor Dr Habib Ghuloom.

 Mustafa Alaidaroos, Chief Operating Officer of Arab Format Lab, expressed his happiness with the success of the first phase of the audition process in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi the launch of second phase of auditions in Dubai.
