NCM: Weather could be cloudy, dusty today

Friday weather will be dusty and cloudy in most areas.

ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts rains at different periods for four days, which may include thunderstorms.

According to the NCM, Friday weather will be dusty and cloudy in most areas, with the opportunity to rain, especially on the coasts and north and east of the country.

The NCM expects the wind to be southeasterly to northeasterly with moderate to high-speed, especially on the sea, ranging from 25 to 35km/h, sometimes increasing up to 50km/h, which will stir dust and result in low horizontal visibility.

The sea is expected to be turbulent in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The centre pointed out that the Saturday weather will be unstable as it will be dusty and cloudy on most areas with different rain falls at intervals, may be thunderstorms, in addition to scattered rains, especially in the north and east.

On Sunday, the NCM indicated southeast to northeasterly winds will blow moderately and actively.

Rains, according to the NCM will be reduced on Monday, where it will be light at night especially in the north and east.

Southeasterly to northeasterly moderate and active winds will blow on the sea, with a speed ranging from 20 to 35km/h, to 45km/h, which will be sometimes, dusty on exposed areas.

The sea is expected to be turbulent in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Earlier Monday The NCM expected the temperatures  in the range of 18˚C-25ºC in Abu Dhabi, 17˚C-25ºC in Dubai, 17˚C-21 ºC in Sharjah, 18˚C-22 ºC in Ajman, 17˚C-21 ºC in Umm Al Quwain, 16˚C-20 ºC in Ras Al Khaimah, 18˚C-27 ºC in Fujairah and 17˚C-26 ºC in Al Ain.

Earlier Tuesday, the weather was reported to be fair to partly cloudy in general and humid by night over some inland areas. The winds were reported to be fresh northwesterly, causing blowing dust and sand over the exposed areas at a speed of 20–35Km/h, reaching 45km/h at times. Sea was expected to be rough in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea, according to NCM .
