Miss Earth Indonesia 2025 Putri Andriani Juficha has died at the age of 25. Her death was announced on what would have been her 26th birthday on Friday (Aug. 14). Her cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
Known as "Pijey," she wasn't just a pageant queen — she was an environmental advocate pushing waste recycling and river cleanups, a law student, and a singer who dropped her own single in 2024.
On Instagram, the Miss Grand Indonesia organisation announced the beauty queen’s passing, expressing grief and remembering her as part of its “Grand family.”
She was also a runner-up at the Miss Grand Indonesia 2025 pageant.
“With deepest sorrow, the Miss Grand Indonesia Organisation mourns the passing of Putri Andriani Juficha, Runner-Up Miss Grand Indonesia 2025,” the organisation said. “You were more than a titleholder. You were part of our Grand family, a beautiful soul whose grace, strength, and spirit touched so many hearts.”
The organisation also extended its condolences and prayers to her family and loved ones. “May you be granted strength and comfort during this difficult time.”
Putri’s last Instagram post was on July 21, when she shared photos of herself.
Miss Earth 2025 Natálie Puškinová commented on the post, writing, “I’m heartbroken. Rest in peace.”
According to People, Putri’s death was announced on what was set to be her 26th birthday on Friday, Aug.14. A cause of death has not been disclosed.
Meanwhile, Joy Barcoma mourned the death of her fellow beauty queen Andriani Juficha.
On Instagram Stories Friday, Joy shared the Miss Earth Organisation’s memorial post for Putri.
“Your memory is a blessing, PJ,” Joy wrote.
Joy and Putri were among the delegates who competed at the Miss Earth 2025 pageant in November. Joy finished in Top 8 with Czech Republic’s Natalie Puskinova taking home the crown.
