VIDEO: Mexico funeral home offers Barbie hot-pink themed coffins

A funeral home in Mexico introduced special coffins in Barbie pink colour dedicated to fans and keeping up with the trend Barbiecore.

The Olivares Funeral Home promoted new coffins bearing the Barbie emblem and hot pink colour under the slogan, "May your soul rest in peace, like Barbie."

Undertaker Isaac Villegas of the company, said: “The company started making bright coloured coffins for people and its demands are increasing in Mexico, El Salvador and Latin America.

The demand for coffins increased rapidly after the success of the movie in cinemas.

He said funeral homes in El Salvador offer a coffin lifelike Barbie style like never before.

He added, "We wanted to promote the pink coffin, because it has become a trend, and we received many calls from people enquiring about new coffins, and we sealed around 10 contracts with people, until our stock of coffins ran out."

With its stunning bright pink color, this casket represents the spark and energy of the beautiful moments lived by its owners, and a celebration filled with love, colours and unforgettable memories.

Funeral homes in these regions are now offering the option of pretty pink coffins, ensuring that loved ones remain "pretty in pink forever."  

Thanks to the release of the blockbuster film by Greta Gerwig, a cultural and fashion trend, better known as “Barbiecore” takes over fans worldwide; it even led to a shortage of pink paint.

If Barbie’s Dreamhouse wasn’t enough, now funeral homes are catching on with the trend of Barbie-themed shocking pink dream coffins.
