Yas Island Abu Dhabi has once again won hearts with an upbeat summer hit featuring Kuwaiti band Miami and an all-new groovy twist to Arabic fan-favourite ‘Alhamdulillah wa Shefnakom’. The cheerful remix takes viewers on a joy ride across Yas Island’s world-class leisure and entertainment attractions and adds a special nuance to the original track to get everyone moving and grooving all summer long. The collaboration between Miami band and Yas Island Abu Dhabi builds on last year’s success ‘Yas Yas Baby’ and delivers a new jingle for fans to enjoy. The new edit also reminisces on the nostalgic tunes of the 90s - which continue to strike a chord in every generation across the Arab world.

Miami are a Khaleeji band from Kuwait, known for their fast and frantic style. Its beginning dates back to 1986-1987, when it had not released any albums yet. Miami’s founders included Tariq Qassem Muhammad, Mishaal Saleh Lili, Adnan, Hussein and Ahmed with Lily Laila Mohamed joining a week after the band was founded. Later, three members withdrew for special reasons and circumstances that were not announced. Mishaal, Hussein and Khaled decided to join the band; however, they did not stay and also withdrew shortly after joining.

Finally, Khaled Al Randi joined them as the fourth and last member of the band. The members of the band have settled since that year to this day, and they are: Tariq Qassem Muhammed; Khaled Abdel Jalil Al Randi; Layili Layli Muḥammed and Mishaal Saleh Laily. It was Tariq who decided to name the band. His eyes fell on the name Miami (it was written in beautiful handwriting on his chalkboard in one of the summer club seasons); he gave this name to the band.

Miami’s numbers include Ghazaalah (1994); Assalaam Lillah (1995); Aasho (1996); Sheeloohaa Shaila (1997); Alhamdulillah wa Shefnakom (1999); Sukkar Ziyaadeh (2000); Hoonhaa (2001); Yaa Helookom (2003); and Black Toon (2005). Through 2017, they had released a total of 15 albums. Their repertoire includes pop, patriotic and sports songs, and also television theme songs.
