VIDEO: 400 Saudi bikers celebrate 92nd National Day on the highways of Riyadh

Around 400 Saudi nationals and expats on motorbikes, some with flags, rode on the highways of Riyadh to celebrate the country’s 92nd national day on Friday.

GCC countries extended their greetings to the Saudi leadership on the occasion. Major landmarks and many official and private entities decorated their headquarters with Saudi flags and malls announced special events and activities for the occasion.

The close ties between the Arab nations and Saudi Arabia are a distinguished model, and their mutual history has many examples of global cooperation, including in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy and culture.

A female biker, Nour said, “Today the Saudi woman is participating in tours and National day celebrations in an official way. We have our licenses with our own bikes. Motorcycle is a hobby and nothing can stop me from participating through my hobby with my passion and being with the group, nothing can stop me.

Saud Al Barrak told reporters, "We came today to represent our country and to show our skills and hobbies. Today is a precious one for us as Saudis, and we came to celebrate with the biggest number of motorcycles.

Ahmed Al-Oteibi, head of public relation at Saudi motorcycle federation said,

"On the occasion of the 92nd of Saudi national day which is precious to us, this is the least we can do to our country, with the participation of around 400 motorcycles from different nationalities, whether Arab or foreigners.

Yasser, Palestinian resident in Riyadh said, “I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. I had the pleasure to be among the bikers here to deliver a message that we are with the society under the title (of the national day) it's our home. We are one heart and one hand to serve this country.

Saudi cities have major events lined up for the evening to mark the national day.
