A video of a humane situation won the hearts of millions of Egyptians after a nurse appeared in a video trying to help a girl with cancer to sleep in the intensive care room.

The video, which was admired by social media users, was recorded by a doctor at the Children's Cancer Hospital Egypt, also known as 57357 hospital, and it shows the nurse sitting next to the girl who started talking in her sleep. The nurse reassured her that she would be OK.

The doctor indicated that the nurse, whose name was Omar Muhammad, used to help sick children, explaining that he spent about half an hour trying to help the girl to sleep, while it was 2 in the morning.

The video was widely circulated on social media. The nurse revealed to the media the details of the incident, saying, “The girl is 4 years old, and she entered the care four days before, after she had a violent breathing trouble. The medical team was able to save her and keep her alive.”

The nurse explained that with the passage of hours, the girl's health condition began to improve, after she was placed on a ventilator.

The doctors said Omar has been kind to all the children.

The nurse explained that the girl asked him to sit next to her on the bed, and said: “I held her in my hands until she started to get sleepy, then I put her on the bed, and I was talking to her, while watching her breathing slowly.”

The nurse explained that he did not know about the video, and was surprised by seeing it on social media, amid praise from many for his humanitarian role.
