Social media activists in Saudi Arabia circulated a video clip of a young Saudi man playing the piano for his bride on their wedding night.

Activists shared the video clip on social media platforms, expressing their admiration for the behaviour of the groom, considering it a rare act in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi journalist, Qassem Al Khabrani, commented on the video clip after its publication, asking: “Will the groom's playing music become a new phenomenon in the Saudi society?”

The groom commented on his Twitter account on the video, saying: “Mariage d’amour” which means “Marriage of Love” in English.

The groom said, “I played it for the love of my heart and the partner of my life.”

While the bride commented, "Thanks to Allah who has chosen you to be my companion, good friend and a safe shelter.”
