A video of a funeral procession in London has touched the hearts of millions of people around the world.

The video showed the funeral of an ice cream man's hearse being followed by succession of ice cream vans, all blaring music as a tribute to their mate who passed away.

The heartwarming video immediately became a social media sensation.

The incident was reported from Lewisham, Peckham and Brockley, all in South London.

A woman named Louisa Davies (@LouisaD__) posted the video on Twitter.

She wrote, “Just witnessed an ice cream man’s funeral and all the ice cream vans came and followed in solidarity I AM SOBBING.”

The video left people in absolute awe of such a show of camaraderie and respect.

One social media user said that the line of ice cream vans is a "tradition within the ice cream community."

However, this ice cream procession showed how much the ice cream man was loved by his mates.

The video showed at least 10 ice cream vans flashing with blaring music.

Since then, Davies’ post garnered over 4 million views, 273.100 likes, 37,000 retweets and 5000 comments, with users flocking to the video to pay tribute to it.

A Twitterati wrote, “Well that's the best thing I've ever seen.”

Another wrote,  “This is really on! Obviously, he loved what he did and was respected by his peers.

At the end of a career, that's all we can hope for.”

A third commented, "It's really an authentic way to pay their respect.”

Davies also said that she had spoken to the family of the ice cream driver who had passed away, and had since arranged for a donation to be made for Cancer Research.
