5 expert tips by Kagan Dunlap for every fitness enthusiast

Kagan Dunlap.

Kagan Dunlap is a master of fitness with a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has been an active fitness trainer. He has been in the Marine Corps for 7 years and a passionate weightlifter for the past 15 years. 

Kagan Dunlap has won many awards and medals, including 2nd Place in Novice Men's Physique and 3rd place in Open Men's Physique at Bayou Muscle in New Orleans in April 2021.

As far as military achievements, he has successfully completed the Combat Marksmanship Trainers Course, Combat Marksmanship Coaches Course, Martial Arts Instructor Course, Combat Lifesavers Course, Sergeants Course, and Corporals Course.

He has even mentored and led dozens of Marines, and served as a Vehicle Commander and Section Leader when he was in the infantry.

Kagan was born on November 26, 1986, in Portland, Maine. He spent 11 years living in Ellsworth Maine and moved to North Carolina in 1998. He has two younger siblings and he is married to Reilly, who has been in the U.S.

Coast Guard. Currently, he is influencing many others by promoting a healthy lifestyle on social media.  

Kagan served in 2nd Battalion 3rd Marines as a TOW-gunner in The Weapons Company in the Combined Anti-Armor Team for more than 5 years.

Kagan has also recently completed his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science in June 2021. Since 2019, he has been actively mentoring midshipmen and working for the NROTC program while studying Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Kagan was selected for a commissioning program in the Marine Corps called the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program that allowed him to remain on active duty while he completed his degree.  Upon graduating he Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant.

As a fitness instructor and mentor who has served the Marines in during his career, Kagan Dunlap has helped many others achieve similar goals. He is indeed the perfect example of dedication and hard work.
