Biryani is a very popular and delicious rice dish across Asia. This dish is prepared by mixing some special spices, meat and rice. It is often served with yoghurt and salads.

Mumbai special chicken Biryani is one of the most flavourful and extremely popular dishes in India and Pakistan.

The correct amount of spices makes it more delicious. It is often served with raita and salads. If you never tried it before here is the recipe.

Ingredients

½ tsp Nutmeg powder, Star Anise

1 tsp Garam masala powder

2 or 3 Bay leaf

2 of 3 Cardamom

1 tsp Cumin

2 tsp Coriander

1 tsp red chilli powder

½ tsp 1 black pepper

1 cup yoghurt

1 kg Chicken

½ kg Ghee

1 kg rice

Salt to taste

Water as required

2 chopped onion

2 chopped tomatoes

4-5 pieces chopped potatoes

1 cup coriander and mint

To make Biryani Masala: Grind nutmeg, jaggery, cloves, ground black pepper, anise flowers, cardamom, cumin and cinnamon in a grinder.

Now add coriander powder, cloves, chopped red chillies, aloe vera, bay leaves, cardamom, turmeric powder, cumin powder, crushed red chillies, salt as required, seasoned black pepper and mix well.

Now put the prepared spices in the curd and put it on the side.

Heat ghee in a pan, add oil and onion, let it golden fry then add chicken and cook till it changes colour.

Now add ginger garlic paste and mix well.

Now add chopped tomatoes and fry for 4 to 5 minutes.

Then add yoghurt mixed spices and fry and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.

Now add the remaining spices and chopped potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.

Add half boiled rice and keep on simmer for 15 minutes.

Delicious Bombay Biryani is ready. Serve with raita and salad.
