In a hilarious video that has been doing rounds on social media, a giant white swan attacked an amateur golfer, John Walters after, sinking a putt in Georgia, USA.

The angry beast popped up and nipped him a few times. Eventually, he had to go into a full sprint to distance himself from the angry bird.

The man jumped back to get rid of it but found himself an easy target for the swan that kept pecking him repeatedly until he hid behind a group of young men who were around.

According to the report, the pelican lives in a nearby lake and regularly frequents the golf course.

Although fierce on the amateur player, they were less ferocious than golf-course visitors such as the large alligators, which have been spotted on Florida and South Carolina courses.
