Model Anwar Hadid faces backlash online after stating that he won’t take the Covid-19 vaccine after it becomes available.
The 21-year-old model said he would rather get the virus and heal from it naturally.
During a quick question and answer session on social media, a user asked Hadid whether or not he would take the vaccine, the 21-year-old shared anti-vaccine sentiments.
“Absolutely Not,” he replied, according to his post on Instagram.
His response prompted another user to ask him another question: 'Why are you anti vax' with a crying emoji.
“Either I just don’t get it [COVID-19] or I get it and God willing heal from it and get antibodies rather than do that process unnaturally,” wrote Hadid, when asked by another user why he was ‘anti-vax’. “Our bodies are made by the creator to do way more than we think.”
Many took to social media to express their disappointment over Hadid’s comments, as he was quickly labelled an ‘anti-vaxxer’.
Earlier, Anwar was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, shortly after his mother and sister, Bella, contracted the disease.
