VIDEO: Mohamed orders Hudariyat leisure district to be operational by next month

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the Hudariyat leisure and entertainment district and gave directions to open the project by next month.

The destination will be a new attraction for all members of the community, both residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mohamed also gave directions to establish recreational facilities across the emirate to encourage healthy lifestyles and meet the needs of the community, and to exempt food truck owners on Al Hudariyat island and shops owners in the new Marasana project from rent for 6 months.

Mohamed Bin Zayed said, “We visited Al Hudayriat Project, an important addition to Abu Dhabi's entertainment and tourism sector. We aim to develop inclusive and unique projects, which encourage a healthier lifestyle for the whole community.”

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, DCT Abu Dhabi, has unveiled the panel of world-class, expert judges who will determine the winners of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Tourism Excellence Awards, a new award scheme that has been launched to honour excellence in the travel and tourism industry.

The new Abu Dhabi Tourism Excellence Awards, ADTEA, have been conceived by DCT Abu Dhabi to establish a new industry benchmark worldwide, and will recognise significant achievements, stimulate engagement and networking, and raise the industry’s overall competitiveness.
