Piña colada is best known to be enjoyed during summertime; however, a smoothie bowl is a modern twist to the original concept. Instead of drinking a piña colada, a smoothie bowl with toppings makes for a refreshing yet filling breakfast, snack, or dessert.
1 cup coconut milk
1 ½ cup frozen pineapple
1 ½ cup frozen banana
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
A colorful mix of the smoothie.
In a high powered blender, add the coconut milk, frozen pineapple, frozen banana, and honey/maple syrup. Blend until smooth.
Pour into a bowl. Add the desired toppings: sliced banana, pineapple chunks, granola, coconut shreds, and chia seeds.
