Six Inmates in the Ras Al Khaimah Punitive and Correctional Establishment have converted to Islam, announced the officials on Sunday.
The six Inmates included three men and three women, they are all Nigerians.
In the presence of Brigadier Yaqoob Yousef Abu Laila, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Establishment, the inmates took their Shahadah and were issued their certificates.
According to the inmates, they are happy with their decision.
They said they have been thinking about it for while, because of the ways of Islam they experienced. Including the treatment they received from the penal institution officials.
The gangsters reportedly attacked the shop, threatened the employees and stole money of different currencies that amounted to over Dhs2 million.
“When we checked the vehicle data in the federal traffic system, it turned out that the driver committed 1,200 overspeeding violations and 51 violations under ‘Wanted for impoundment,’ with a total value of Dhs1,158,000.”
