Family Fun Day on Saturday
Events include a string of energetic cardio workouts, jumping on a mini trampoline along with a children’s boot camp.
Mothers and kids, not excluding the fathers, are being invited to a lineup of events for the ‘Family Fun Day’ that include a string of energetic cardio workouts like body combat, body attack, Zumba, jumping on a mini trampoline along with children’s boot camp.
On the sidelines of the main event, various activities promoting health, along with parallel sporting activities like basketball and tennis, will also be held to entertain visitors of all age groups.
The event is held in collaboration with Fitness First, Sharjah Triathlon, and Sharjah Women’s Sports Department. Registration is now open for all families to participate in the fun community-wide activity.
The Fun day is also being organised to commemorate Mother’s Day in the UAE that will be observed on March 21, along with International Women’s Day that’ celebrated in the same month.
The programme also calls for all members of the family to incorporate a regimented fitness schedule as part of their daily lives. The day aims to raise awareness about the benefits of sports in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Healthy bites and sliders can be enjoyed after an exciting session of sports at the, Jones the Grocer, which is located within the premises.
Speaking about the event, Khuloud Salim Al Junaibi, General Manager of The Flag Island, said, “We are very keen to give all children and mothers, not forgetting the fathers, the chance to share the family atmosphere of fun and to enjoy the day’s entertaining activities. The event also celebrates Mother’s Day reminiscing the important and relentless role that mothers play in shaping our lives. Through this event, we are also focused on organising children’s favourite events, hobbies and activities.
