Veteran Egyptian actor Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra passed away after a health crisis that lasted for several weeks inside the hospital and ended with a sharp deterioration in his condition and his admission to intensive care. He was 92.
The late actor suffered health complications that directly affected his respiratory system, which required close medical attention until the moment of his death after a career that lasted more than 65 years.
His health had clearly deteriorated since late March 2026 after he suffered a lung problem that affected his ability to breathe normally.
As a result, he was transferred to the intensive care unit, where he received intensive medical care amidst continuous efforts to stabilize his gradually worsening condition.

Earlier, the late actor’s health condition was closely monitored by the medical team in the hospital during his stay in intensive care and was closely followed by the Egyptian Minister of Health.
His respiratory function continued to gradually deteriorate until the death announcement on May 11, 2026 after weeks of intensive treatment.
