Elli AvrRam says filmmakers giving her performance-oriented roles now

Swedish actress Elli AvrRam has garnered a ton of praise for her debut Tamil film, “Naane Varuvean,” in which she co-starred with Dhanush and has also wowed everyone with her performance in the Bollywood movie “Goodbye” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Rashmika Mandanna and Pavail Gulati.

From playing the cautious and stealthy Jesse in “Malang,” motherly coy yet determined Madhuri in “Naane Varuvean” and the ambitious and fierce Daisy Bhalla in “Goodbye,” Elli’s versatility is very apparent. Elli shares: “I’m very happy with the response I’ve been getting in the last few years. Now there are filmmakers who truly see my potential and are giving me performance-oriented roles.

And I’m so grateful for it.” But it wasn’t easy for Elli. “The journey haven’t been a cakewalk, I’ve had to say no to lot of offers that’s come my way, just to stop being typecasted, and with that keep lot of patience for this day to come.” “Goodbye” is a touching story that makes you realise the importance of your loved ones along with the downturns of life.

It the story of how a family comes together in times of grief after losing an important member. Produced by Ektaa R. Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co., “GoodBye” was release in cinemas on Oct.7. The film has an accomplished cast consisting of Sunil Grover, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, and Shivin Narang in supporting roles.

Lead actress of the film Rashmika who has worked with Amitabh Bachchan in “Goodbye,” said that she is grateful for having done the film with the Bollywood superstar. Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a picture of herself with Big B and wrote, “I still can’t believe this is happening.

Having done a film with sir, getting to talk to him, being able to share the same stage as him, talking about the same topics, getting to take a picture with him, my God!! “He is an absolutely brilliant performer... A gem of a person and always arguing with me as a reel papa... but my God — how grateful am I. While, Elli AvrRam grew up in Tyresö kommun, Stockholm.

Her Greek father, Jannis Avramidis, is a musician who is now settled in Sweden and her Swede mother, Maria Granlund, is an actress who had a part in Ingmar Bergman’s “Fanny and Alexander.” AvrRam took an interest in figure skating, singing and dancing from her initial years. She received training in acting from her mother and aunt who runs a theatre.

She got her major breakthrough by bagging a lead role in Saurabh Varma’s comedy thriller film “Mickey Virus.” In 2013, She participated as a contestant on an Indian reality TV show, Bigg Boss 7. In 2014, Elli appeared as a guest contestant in Colors TV’s dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” in its seventh season. Later she acted in the Karan Johar’s film “Ungli” which was released in 2014. In 2015, “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” was released. In 2017, she appeared in two films “Naam Shabana” and “Poster Boys.”
