The Shakira-Gerard Pique love crisis got intense with a new revelation from a Brazilian model.

The separation is termed in the media as “betrayal" after Shakira caught Pique cheating on her.

And now a Brazilian model named Suzy Cortez dropped a bombshell by claiming that she had "received intimate messages" from the Catalan player.

The Brazilian model said, "Gerard Pique sent her an admiration message along with a large number of Barcelona players," according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

Cortez adds that "the former Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell, was her friend, and when Pique found out about it, he asked for her number and then sent her direct messages, some of which were not nice."

The Brazilian model continued, "Pique began to write to me directly via Instagram, and then asked me when I would return to Europe, and also expressed his jealousy for my respect to the Argentine player, Lionel Messi."

When asked about the reason for her refusal to talk about this issue in the past, Cortez continued that the reason was that she "respects Shakira," and promised her, saying, "I will tell you (that is, to Shakira) everything I know and what happened to me," according to the newspaper.

However, Cortez, also known as Miss BumBum, revealed details about how she met Pique, and even mentioned that some messages from the soccer player were obscene questions.

Cortez also said that the only Barcelona players who never sent me anything were Messi and Coutinho.

“I guess they are great husbands and they respect their wives a lot.”

Cortez told the media Shakira didn't deserve this.

Pique now lives alone in an apartment in Barcelona.

Pique and Shakira relationship began during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, after the Colombian singer, of Lebanese origin, performed the official song of the tournament. They two children are Milan and Sasha.

Although they were not together permanently except at sporting and family events, their relationship did not witness this deterioration, as happened in the last two months.

Shakira spent a family vacation on the island of Ibiza with her two children but without Pique.

The split now comes with both Shakira and Piqué facing their own legal troubles.

Shakira is facing a potential court trial on tax fraud charges in Spain. Prosecutors accuse her of failing to pay 14.5 million euros ($15.5 million) in taxes on income earned between 2012 and 2014.

She has denied any wrongdoing and her public relations firm says that she has paid back all that she owed.

Piqué, for his part, has been implicated in a probe by Spanish state prosecutors looking into the contracts behind the hosting of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Audios leaked to Spanish media point to a company run by Piqué having received commissions worth several million euros (dollars) for his part in taking the tournament to the Middle Eastern kingdom. Piqué denies any wrongdoing or a conflict of interest despite having played in the Super Cup.

Piqué has also launched several other business initiatives while remaining a leading soccer player in Spain. Spanish sports media view him as a future president of Football Club Barcelona once his playing career concludes.
